This policy explains what happens to a file after you upload it, what technical data we keep, and how you can reach us. It covers the free photo remover and the pages around it.
1. What This Policy Covers
This policy applies to freewatermarkremover.io and every page served under it. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to, and it does not cover a service you reach through a separate agreement with us.
2. What We Process
When you use the remover, we handle the file you upload, the result we stream back to you, and technical data needed to run the service and prevent abuse — your IP address, request time, an anonymous browser identifier, and a Cloudflare Turnstile verification token.
We do not ask for an account, a name or a phone number to use the free plan. An email address is collected only when you type one into the waitlist form.
3. Your Files Are Not Stored
An uploaded photo is passed to the processing service and the result is streamed straight back to your browser. We do not keep a copy of the original or the result once the download finishes, and there is no gallery, history or share link on our side.
Because nothing is retained, we cannot recover a file for you later, and we cannot delete something we never held.
4. Server Logs and Quota Counts
Our hosting provider records standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested path, response status and user agent — for security and troubleshooting. These are used to detect abuse and are not used to build an advertising profile.
The free quota uses an anonymous browser identifier stored in an HttpOnly cookie, daily and monthly counters tied to that identifier, a daily counter built from a salted hash of the connecting IP, and an aggregate daily processing-budget counter. If account-based free plans are enabled, daily, monthly and yearly account counters are used as well. These counters expire within a short period and contain no file data. They exist so that one visitor cannot consume the capacity that everyone else shares.
6. Third-Party Processors
Cloudflare provides hosting and content delivery, and Cloudflare Turnstile provides bot and abuse protection. Turnstile receives the connecting IP address, browser and device signals, and a verification token so Cloudflare can decide whether the request is genuine.
The watermark removal engine processes the uploaded photo and selection mask to produce the requested result. These providers handle data on our behalf only for these purposes and are subject to their own privacy and security terms.
We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to certain processing. The data we may hold includes an email address if you joined the waitlist, short-lived server logs, an anonymous quota cookie identifier, a salted IP hash, and Turnstile verification data processed by Cloudflare.
Write to the address in section 10 and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has submitted an email address to us, contact us and we will remove it.
9. Changes to This Policy
If the way we handle data changes, the updated date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be described on this page rather than announced only by email.
